Indoor Play West Midlands

If you’re looking for indoor play in the West Midlands and you have a child that loves imaginary play then you have arrived at the website of the UKs most loved and reputable role play village based in Warwick.  A bold statement granted, and not made with arrogance  but rather a genuine confidence of over 7 years entertaining, caring for and delighting families.

Gone are the days of parents accepting overcrowded play venues, the feeling that cleanliness is seriously lacking, poorly maintained play areas, grown ups yearning for a decent coffee or worried about not being able to get a table when they arrive and having to lug their belongings everywhere.

Since opening The Children’s Play Village in 2018 we have been unrelenting in our dedication for creating an indoor play venue that families love visiting.  It’s the reason families choose to visit us from both near and far across the West Midlands and beyond. Still not convinced? … we understand. Our fantastic unsolicited reviews and recommendations on Google, Trip Advisor and social media over the past 5 years are a testament to our efforts and the effort and dedication of our team every single day to make sure all of our families are cared for and have the best time during their visit.

Take a Look Inside…

Why not take a look inside and see the fabulous role play areas we offer and children having a great time exploring!

Families Want Better…

The desire and demand for a better indoor play experience is here to stay and we set about answering the question every indoor play operator should demand they ask of themselves “How do we consistently delight guests each and every day.” We could spend hours and hours picking apart that question and how we achieve this but what we can share is we are tenacious in our pursuit to ensure that our families have a great time visiting us… from the amazing team members we recruit and train, through to the daily systems and procedures that are an integral part of our very fabric in ensuring the standards make for an exceptionally high quality of experience for our little and big guests alike.

Every decision about the way we operate is centred around the comfort and enjoyment of our visiting families and we do this with pride. So, what does that really mean in reality for families that plan to visit us? Okay so we’ll share a snapshot of how we operate our indoor play village in Warwick so you have all the information at your fingertips to decide if you feel we are worth visiting.

Overcrowding Is A Thing Of The Past

Since opening in 2018 we have operated a strict capacity limit with pre-booked tickets essential to visit us.  Every single child and adult should, and does, have the space to enjoy our role play areas.  As parents we have all visited venues and felt it is far too busy, uncomfortable and come away feeling disappointed and short changed.  Over the past 5 years we have found our perfect visitor numbers so every family can enjoy exploring with their child or children and once a session is at capacity we do not accept any further guests… and this does mean closing our sessions to new bookings when this maximum is reached and regularly turning away families who arrive without a booking. Our priority has, and always will be, those that have pre-booked a visit to us and protecting their experience… after all it is one of the many reasons families choose to visit us.

Each Family Has A Reserved Table

No family should ever need to stand, hold their belongings or every time they move from their table fear that another family is ready jump into their seats.  Each and every family that books to visit us is allocated and shown to their table on arrival by one of our hosts… that table is theirs for the duration of the play session.

Cleanliness & Hygiene Are Non Negotiable

Cleanliness is a non-negotiable for us and we make no bones about the exceptionally high standards we expect of ourselves and our team to protect the condition of our indoor play space. After each play session we close completely for 30 minutes to clean and get ready for our next visiting families, with specific pre-opening and closing tasks each and every day. No guests’ experience should be different to the last visiting families. You should expect a clean and welcoming indoor play space. That alone is not enough and dedicate time each week when we are closed that are dedicated to deeper cleaning tasks and maintenance. We also close for a day or two every three months for enhanced scheduled maintenance. We look after the beautiful space we have created not only because of inherent pride, but because it matters, and has always mattered, to our visiting families.

The Quality of Role Play Areas & Toys

We source only the best quality toys and with countless children playing with our toys each week this demands a dedicated team member auditing these each week with a monthly ringfenced spend on replacing loved and played with toys. Our stock cupboards are full of new toys ready to take the place of those we feel are not quite up to scratch that we would feel embarrassed to see a child playing with. Our toys rechecked on a daily basis toys by our Performer Team and Managers for quality, and those that don’t meet our exacting standards are removed and replaced.  The condition of toys quite possibly would not matter to a child, but it matters to us and it matters to our parents visiting us.

A Decent Cuppa & Freshly Prepared Food

Our approach to running our indoor play village does not neglect the basics of brightening up a parent’s day with a decent cuppa, or freshly prepared food they can see our Chef Team making to order in our open kitchen. Our Lavazza coffee hits the spot and draws regular comment by our parents and it is the small things that make all the difference. Similarly, our food offering has become just as loved, commented on and as important to our visiting families as the keeping their little ones entertained during play. Our professional chefs are on hand each day to freshly prepare our guests breakfast, lunch or dinner during each play session if families choose to eat with us and our amazing Bistro Hosts & Manager do just that… they host with care for all our guests.

Character Performers To Entertain & Play Alongside Children

Our Performers are in character each day to ignite the imaginations of our little guests with a Village Story, games and activities throughout each session that children can choose to join in with, or they can simply carry on merrily exploring our role play areas. For instance, currently Frankie The Village Firefighter is calling on the help of willing little trainee firefighters to help with some Village emergencies. With a dedicated script writer creating new characters our Village Story, games and activies change every 6-8 weeks.

Indoor Play For All Weathers

Our Play Village is an all weather venue… we most certainly do have air conditioning for the days when families want to escape the heat and the sun, and we like to keep toasty in the colder months with a fully heated building.

And Yes… We Have Extremely Clean Toilets & Baby Changing

This is no minor detail… there is nothing worse than dirty and poorly kept toilets and baby changing facilities and there is no need for it. In our opinion, toilets are the window through which you can judge and see how any indoor play venue is managed and kept.

Making a Day of It If You’re Visiting From Further Afield…

When we say we have guests visiting us from further afield, this can be from London right up past the Midlands and beyond.  Families often book a visit to us as a meet up point with our easy access from the M40 motorway, and the travel to us can often mean families see us as a day out.  If you are hoping to explore a little more of Warwick and make a full day of it, we can heartily recommend visiting St Nicholas Park in Warwick either before or after your play session and visit to us.
