The Children’s Play Village is for any child of any age that loves to play. The role play areas have been designed to appeal to children age 3 and upwards, only stopping when your child no longer enjoy this type of play. Realistically, we feel that our Play Village has most appeal to children across the different years of primary school age.
Steady, confident walkers under the age of 3 will be able to explore all we have to offer at The Play Village with close parental supervision. For babies and crawlers we have a dedicated, separate area for play.
At the Play Village we run 3 play sessions each day with each session lasting 2.5hrs. Our first play session is 9.30 – 12pm, our second is 12.30pm – 3pm and our third play session is 3.30pm -6pm. In between each play session, we close The Play Village and Bistro completely for a brief 30 minutes to have a little tidy so we can get The Play Village ready for little explorers joining us for the next play session.
At the start of your play session, our fun loving Play Makers will be ready and waiting to welcome you. We know the minute your child steps foot in The Play Village they will be off exploring! They can spend their whole time in and out of each play area creating their own imaginary adventures, and they can also join in with our Play Makers in any one of the imaginary games and adventures they have tucked up their sleeves.
It came out loud and clear from our parent survey that one of parents’ dislikes is visiting overcrowded play facilities. With children of our own, we completely understand that. They told us that giving their children enough space and freedom to play and explore all of The Play Village would make a difference to their experience.
Offering play sessions at set times with spaces pre-booked online ensures we do not go over our capacity limit so we can offer you and your family the best possible play date. It is also allows us to close the facility for 30 minutes in between each play session to clean, tidy and get ship shape for visitors arriving for the next play session.
Our wonderful team of Play Makers are dedicated to play in the Play Village and have an important role in maintaining a happy, caring and nurturing environment for children to play. Whilst they will always keep a watchful eye on safe and harmonious play, parents/guardians are responsible for the supervision and care of their child/children whilst visiting The Children’s Play Village.
We do strongly recommend booking a play session before visiting to ensure we have space. If you are planning to make a last minute visit, please check availability on the booking system within our website before you head out or give us a quick ring on 01926 830635. Of course, you can arrive anytime during your pre-booked play session. The play session will finish at the planned time and unfortunately we are unable to extend your play time beyond the allocated play session time.
In line with our Booking Terms & Conditions, all tickets purchased online are non-refundable. However, if you are unable to make your planned pre-booked play session your ticket can be transferred to another play session provided this is 24 hrs prior to your original pre-booked play session. Please contact us on 01926 830635 to transfer and re-book your play session which can be re-scheduled within 6 months of your original booking date.
Unfortunately, due to us often reaching maximum visitor capacity in our play sessions we are unable to accommodate families who would like to visit us and eat in our Village Bistro before their play session begins. At the end of each play session we close the Play Village and Bistro completely for 30 minutes so we can have a good clean of the toilets, Bistro seating area and get the Play Village all beautifully prepared for children and families to enjoy.
We have a large free car park on site, right next to The Children’s Play Village.
Unfortunately, there are no direct public transport links to The Play Village on Hampton Road and the most convenient way to visit us is by car or drop off.
Although Warwick Parkway is the closest train station to the Play Village the public transport links to Hampton Road are less accessible. Warwick train station based in Warwick is a couple of miles from Warwick and offers more direct public transport routes.
Buses run from Warwick Train Station to Goldsmith Avenue Chase Meadow. However, please note there is still an approximate 30 minute walk from the bus stop to the Play Village.
We welcome visits from all guests with additional needs and will do all that we can to ensure you enjoy your visit. We are proud to say The Play Village has been designed from the start to enable all children to enjoy and play in our facility and we will continue to develop our service to ensure children of all abilities have fun and get the most out of the play environment we offer. Parents of local disability groups told us during our pre-opening testing sessions that whilst they would enjoy visiting anytime, they felt the option of a specific play session for children with a disability or additional needs would greatly benefit their children.
With this in mind we will be offering private play sessions called Time for Play on the first Sunday of each month at 12.30 – 3pm, with our first play session beginning on the 1st July. If you would like to book onto our Time For Play session, please click here and select the 1st Sunday of the month you would like to visit and the option for Time for Play will appear to make a booking. Alternatively, please get for more information on 01926 830635.
For visitors in wheelchairs, please park in our designated disabled parking bays directly in front of the Play Village close to the paved ramped walkway. The Play Village itself is all one level and wheelchair accessible in all areas. Whilst we hope you or your child can enjoy all we have to offer at the Play Village, access to some of the role play areas may be restricted simply due to the size of the spaces and furniture within them. Our disabled toilets are easily accessible from within the Play Village within our toilet area.
Our team of talented chefs and kitchen assistants are ready to serve you freshly cooked food everyday in our Village Green Bistro. To take a look at our menu ahead of your visit, please click here.
As all of our menu is freshly prepared and cooked we hope to be able to accommodate any specific dietary requirements you may have. Our Front of House team will be able to share any information you require on allergens prior to ordering food off our menu.
As we serve a full menu of freshly prepared food, unfortunately we do not allow visitors to bring and consume their own food or refreshments at The Play Village.
Over the forthcoming year we plan to develop our outdoor space for our visitors to enjoy. We are fortunate that The Play Village is nestled in a secluded spot with 9 acres of fields and space surrounding it and we are excited to develop this for all those children and families who enjoy a little bit of fresh air.
Indeed we do, please ask any member of staff for the password details to connect to our WiFi when you arrive.
