Disability Play Sessions
Disability Play Sessions
The Children’s Play Village has been created to support and nurture each and every child’s love of imaginative and creative play. We have an inspiring, rich ‘real life’ environment that we want all children to have the access and freedom to be able to play, discover and explore.
A facility for all children to do what they do best and play
We are proud to say The Children’s Play Village has been designed from the start to enable all children to enjoy and play in our facility and we will continue to develop our service to ensure children of all abilities have fun and get the most out of the play environment we offer. Parents of local disability groups told us during our testing sessions that whilst they would enjoy visiting anytime, they felt the option of a specific play session for children with a disability would greatly benefit their children.
There are many, many reasons why we created the Play Village but one thing that runs through our core is that play is important; and it’s important for all children. We believe it’s what helps bond us closer as families and creates special memories.
Making time for play
With this in mind we will be offering specific play sessions called ‘Time for Play’ on Sundays throughout the year and during half terms at 12.30 – 3pm, at a time that we do hope is convenient for as many families as possible.
Our next SEN session date will be published soon
Our next SEN sessions are on:

Learning and improving
Children with disabilities and additional needs face challenges every single day and we don’t want accessing our Play Village to be another one of those challenges. For us the big question was, and is, how could we understand and remove the barriers that some families face when planning precious play time together. We want all families to be comfortable and confident when visiting so children enjoy exploring, playing, being curious and simply being children.
We’ve always had some anxiety about making sure we are as accessible to all children, simply because it’s important to us and it should always be that way. We’re not quite sure we’ve done enough but we want to learn and grow and understand how we can create a facility you and your child enjoys visiting.
We’re excited to meet you all and share our Play Village with you. Of course do not hesitate to contact us at hello@childrensplayvillage.co.uk or give us a call on 01926 830635 and we’ll help with any query you have.
